Zero Waste Town Kamikatsu

A village called Kamikatsu, started its program of going zero waste back in 2003, hoping to send nothing to landfills. They separate their garbage into 34 categories. There are no garbage trucks, so people take everything to a collection center themselves. Kamikatsu has an exchanging drop off for old stuff where villagers can bring items to swap with their neighbors. Now 80 % of their garbage is recycled and they plan to make it zero until 2020.
